On September 11th, 2025, I watched an Oprah interview with Steven Pressfield, author of “The War of Art”. Pressfield argued that we all have a calling and it is our purpose to discover it. He advised asking ourselves, “What would you do if you knew you had three months left to live?”

I started writing. I wrote down a list of the friends and family I wanted to help most, then wrote a list of 48 messages I wanted to pass on to them if I were to die in three months. These Lessons are those messages.
